  1. Hello Jan,
I just want to thank you for your choices of poems and thoughtful reflections. I am working on a book on grief and poetry and have a facebook page called WordSPA. Your poem today was especially meaningful to me as I have a writing day today and I am immersed in grief work. I have shared your reflections, giving full credit and a link to your blog in the past, and have scheduled the Ellen Bass post to share tomorrow, Dec.1 on the facebook page for WordSPA. It occurred to me today that even though you have sharing icons on your blog and don’t mention asking for permission, you might want to know that I admire it, and am spreading your message. As you are a poetry lover, you may also enjoy the occasional posts on WordSPA or even join in the conversation! You would be very welcome in that community.

    Warm Regards, Kim Langley

  2. Hi Jan,
Thank you so much for your beautiful site – it is so thoughtful and inspiring. I especially love Martha Postlewaite and I’m wondering if you know whether her poem “Clearing” is in the public domain so I can put it in a mindfulness newsletter. Thank you for any help!

    • Thank you so much Abby. To the best of my knowledge we are all able to share poems that are posted on the internet and properly acknowledged. I have responded more fully by email. Jan

  3. Hi Jan, I just want to thank you for this site. I have just discovered it and look forward to looking back and what has been published previously. The current poems about our global criss and the connection and love that are incredibly necessary to make and maintain are particularly wonderful choices.

  4. I’m interested in your work both counseling and bringing poetry forward. Your website was not operating, seemed to be taken over by ads for Alaskan trail adventures, which are intriguing, but not what I sought.

    • Hello Judith, you’re right, I took my website down just last week and need to amend the contact on this site. I am retiring from my practice later this year so am no longer taking new clients. If you are looking for a therapist, may I refer you to my colleagues at http://www.glebeinstitute.com/associates.html. They do not rely on poetry the way I do though they all tend to be narrative-based therapists. Most therapists have wait lists these days as you probably know. I hope this might be helpful. all the best to you, Janice
